Hey Y'all!
If you still remember I just released some new outfits for males the other day. And I used the scarf in one pic (from Rose Sims) to make it look like it was in winter.
However I couldn't recolor it with other patterns cause of the default texture.
So I decided to make the scarf recolorable the whole part.
I didn't alter the mesh but I changed the mask, texture and specular.
Ok, here it is... A fully recolorable scarf (1 alpha channel)
Now you can recolor it with any pattern you like.

Felinanina, you have to download the mesh first (for Females) to make it works.
ReplyDeleteWithout the mesh it won't show up in CAS.

ReplyDeleteI need to learn how to read, I DL'd this and was all NOOOOOOOOO when it didn't show up in CAS. I thought it might be a result of needing the mesh, glad to know that's what it is =)
ReplyDeleteWell, the first thing you need to do when something doesn't work is take a deep, really deep breath then try to calm down. Wait for a couple minutes.

Anyway, I'm glad you figured it out. ;)
So do I need both the male and female meshes or just the original female mesh? I'm asking because I downloaded your files as well as both of Rose's, deleted the designs from Rose's files using CTU, then merged all 4 files into one using S3PE. Now in CAS the scarf has some really odd shine and dark shading that I don't see in your pics. Just curious if I shouldn't have included the male mesh.

I think you need both meshes for male and female to makes it work. It will cause glitch if you only use one mesh.

Lightning in CAS can cause that problems you mentioned. But I'm not sure. You should try it first and compare the result in both place.

Hi Anon, so sorry for the very late reply.
ReplyDeleteIn case you come back to check this, I'll tell you how to get the mesh.
You have to click on the left side where it says Sims 3 then you click on accessory.
And after that you go to page 12 to download the mesh.
Remember you have to download the mesh for both male and female to make it works.
Then the last thing is install the mesh and the file I made in package folder.
I hope this helps.
